Reason to live
So... anyone have a idea what happened to me today?

I'm just now feeling a bit better. It's 7pm.

Around 10am I was sitting with Jane when I got a drill headache on the left side of my head. It was pretty bad and I'm a google junkie so I was going to look it up, but as I was doing that I start feeling very faint. Like, tingling. I knew knew knew I was going to faint. So much so that I had no other ideas but to yell "Help me!!" I very nearly did, but didn't faint. The tingling closed in on my eyes but I kind of know how to avoid fainting and managed not to. I panicked like a crazy person and went running out the door to see if Martina or Donal was home because I did NOT want to pass out with Jane alone in the house, understandable yeah? Well... they were not there. I didn't want to call Cormac but I was still very faint and the tingling was still going on (although the headache dulled after the near-fainting episode to just a pressure headache). He came home, I napped like 30 minutes and felt ok... still tingling. I hate that I had to have Cormac come home but I had no idea what was wrong and I was very nervous about what could happen.

NOW. Just a few moments ago my right ear starting to ring out and I felt very very faint again and recovered.

What the hell is going on. Am I dying? I'm going to the doctor in the morning. My head goes through whirls of nearly feel "high" to having a pressure-like headache. I'd rather not die right now, it'd be rather inconvenient to my... living.

Sounds like it might be a migraine, an inner ear infection, a sinus infection or some combination of the three. Seeing a doctor soon is a very good idea, but you're probably not dying.

lol I assumed not-- its still frightening to feel as those you might pass out when you are watching a child alone. I had thought it could be a migraine but I realize thats just as broad as my symptoms. I figure its not something to ignore anyhow.

Feeling like you might pass out is always scary, and I'd imagine much worse when you're watching a child alone.

I had migraines that were possibly related to an inner ear infection and my symptoms were somewhat like what you described, though more dizzy then feeling like I would actually faint. Very unpleasant, but they went away once the ear infection was finally cleared up.

Did you have any noticeable ear pain?

Occasionally. It came and went, and was difficult to tell from the general head pain.

lol at that last line. But I don't know what could be wrong. Sinus infection? Ear infection? That's what it sounds like. But do let us know what the doctor says. Feeling worried about you.

And its better that you called him than faint with Jane alone in the house. *huggles*

I have a history of feeling very hypochondriac and then ended up actually being ill, so thats what worries me. I just hate feeling helpless!

Do you still have pain? How is your hearing? What about your eyesight? I know these are all the signs of a migrane but sometimes they can be other things. If your hearing or eyesight have issues and you still have a terrible headache get yourself to a doctor.
Good luck lady, I'm sorry you're feeling bad.

Hope you've been to a doctor by now and found out a little more. The problem with migraines is that there are so many possible symptoms/ warning signs/ side effects and everyone's are different. I get dizziness and the shakes, violent vomiting and diarrhoea every 10 - 20 minutes for several hours, then the headache that feels like someone is pounding my forehead with a drill. Sometimes I get tunnel vision, inability to read or form coherent sentences and extreme pins and needles up and down my arms, so much so that my hands go completely numb. The only thing that works for me is getting to sleep, obviously all of the above makes that so much harder! I have discovered over the years, after giving up caffeine, that mine seem to be connected to sleep, too much or too little can trigger a migraine for me. I miss my long Sunday lie ins but all it takes is one migraine to remind me that no lie in is worth that pain!!

I hope everything is ok!

Weird, maybe it WAS a migraine. It was a lot like that. When I recovered from near fainting I had really bad shakes.
